Tucked away at the Top of Ferndale Rd, the house is positioned on 3/4 of an acre on a gently sloping property, right on the edge of the rainforest. Views of mountain ranges and spectacular nature in every direction - from the expansive deck, from all the living spaces, from the fire pit on the sloping lawn.

Top of Ferndale is a beautifully restored 1940s house with three comfortable bedrooms sleeping up to 5 guests. The main living room has a cosy wood heater for those chilly winter nights and split system for heating and cooling, providing year round comfort. A fully equipped country style kitchen opens to the dining space and second living space. Walking thru the doors off the dining area onto the outdoor deck will be your favourite place to be! Relax under the shade of the trees and take in the 270 degrees of the mountain ranges.
During your stay you may have visits from our Beautiful Australian bird life including kookaburras, king parrots, cockatoos, magpies.

Top of Ferndale is located a short drive from Warburton town where you will find shops to explore and many eateries for a nice meal and coffee. We are at the base of Mt Donna Buang, follow the road to explore the Rainforest Gallery and Summit. During Winter months there may even be snow for snowplay and tobogganing. Walk, ride or run 1km to the O’Shannessy Aquaduct trail for kilometers of immersion in the rainforest or why not take in the Warburton Rail Trail, perfect for our cycling visitors.
With so many places to see and experiences to enjoy in the Warburton and Yarra Valley area, Top of Ferndale will be your welcoming home away from home.

Other things to note:
Bring along you slippers as we ask for no shoes in the house.
We will be providing firewood to get you started, you can pick up some wood and kindling on your drive in at the local IGA, hardware store or service station.
Firewood is not provided for the outdoor firepit, you will need to supply your own. The outdoor firepit is not to be used during Fire Restriction periods and during fire danger days.
