The Coach House

Located on the grounds of heritage listed “Harcourt”, circa 1900 is the Coach House which housed the coach and its driver for prominent Melbourne builder Richard Stockdale.
Nestled in the old garden and fronting approximately 300 metres of the Yarra River, the Coach House was converted in 2020 during the pandemic and now boasts modern and reclaimed components. Keeping the character of the original Coach House building, there are 180 degree views of the ground of Harcourt and the Yarra River from the kitchen windows.
Spacious living areas brings the old with the new and boasts a cosy, open fire place and split system heating and cooling for comfort all year round. There is also wood heating in the kitchen area where you can enjoy your morning cup of tea taking in the views.
Whilst the property is shared with the owners, guests have privacy and are able to explore, walk, fish or swim in the Yarra River. Certainly, a beautiful location to picnic or to relax with a good book. If you are lucky, you may even spot the resident platypus early morning or at dusk.
The Coach House is an easy access and short walk or ride along the Rail Trail to Warburton, where there are many cafes and shops to visit. Also, the Warburton Waterwheel Information Centre is a must see. There are many local sights to enjoy whilst in the area such as La La Falls, Redwood Forest and Mt Donna Buang.
The Coach House is accessible by public transport with a bus stop close by.
There is off street parking and room for larger vehicles.
